Description

I swear, this is one of :iconlionessb:'s evil plot to have me draw one of her Lombax characters for FREE :dohtwo: but I couldn't resist the competition -- there's some so-so ones, and then there are cool ones (I envy you so much, V-V, you and your super-Jedi-Keltin fusion :shakefist:)

Man, did I had fun mixing media like crazy! I never realized this until now, but I think the influence is all ~Marit's fault. I've used *Keysha-chan's Tess Ottsel tutorial for refs on how to color with markers and Prismacolor pencils like these. Must be the colorless blender I've been using to blend the colors so freakin' well -- I love it! But I think I used too much white-out sparklies for my own good ^^; I'm a sucker for shiny things.

And did I mention that I have a thing for this Keltin dude as well? My b/f's mostly Scottish, but I always get mixed up with Irish and Scottish cultures -- they all seem so similar, and I love them deeply like they were my own heritage (being a European mutt :XD:). Hope everyone will enjoy this, especially Lioness :D

This is my first critique, so sorry if I'm not exactly all that skilled in pointing out really subtle details. Overall this is really nice - I espeially like your use of pens and texture where it was needed, like in the jeans. Certain, more indistinguishable details catch my eye - The shading on the tip of his tail and his white underbelly seem a bit one-dimensional in that it doesn't really follow the general flow & direction which you're suggesting with the linework. Maybe try keeping that in mind while you shade? Also, your use of white dots for highlights is certainly good for stylization, but I feel personally that it detracts from the piece as a whole, being a bit distracting, and can be done well without. In terms of color alone, however, I think you did very well to use the colors that you did to shade, namely the subtle blues in the jeans and hair.

Again, sorry if I didn't help very well, just thought I'd give an attempt. <img src="e.deviantart.net/emoticons/n/n…" width="15" height="15" alt="" title="Nod"/>
